When singing or listening to the well known "Ave Maria," one can almost feel the motion and honor given to her in this song. It is that touching movement I wanted to convey in this painting, choosing colors indicative of devotion and love and I specifically chose gold for her special connection with God. Her hands in prayer, open as a bowl, for to receive and hold the communion or gifts from the Divine. |
